How to get involved:

Join the Moray Firth Coastal Partnership in removing hazardous waste from our coastline and ensuring it does not end up back in our seas where it can seriously harm our marine wildlife. Here is how you can contribute -

PUBLIC BEACH CLEANS

Removing litter from our coastline is not only helping to keep our coasts clean, but reduces the impact on the marine species that visit us in the Moray Firth. Beach cleaning is a fantastic active exercise that allows the mind to connect with the sea, whilst doing something worthwhile for our environment.  We will be posting about our cleans across our social media platforms, make sure to follow us to keep up to date.

CORPORATE BEACH CLEANS

We can run a beach clean event with your business/organisation and get your staff members some time away from the office to appreciate the physical and mental benefits of removing marine litter and being by the sea. We can arrange the beach cleanup events at a time and beach convenient to you, provide onsite education and safety briefing and do a debrief with your team. We will provide reusable gloves, bags, first aid, and have third-party liability insurance. We also arrange the collection of the waste afterwards. Transport to/from the beach will need to be arranged by you. We will work together with you to determine a schedule, based on your preferences and the tides. As a guideline, we suggest keeping the time on the beach to no longer than 1-1.5hrs. From experience this is more than enough for most people.

SCHOOL BEACH CLEANS

We can arrange a beach clean event and get your students to learn more about the Moray Firth and the impacts of marine litter. They will get the chance to take part in citizen science beach cleaning surveys and learn about how the data they collect can be used to make positive changes. Transport to/from the beach will need to be arranged by you. We will work together with you to determine a schedule, based on your preferences and the tides. As a guideline, we suggest keeping the time on the beach per group to no longer than 2hrs.
