Take part in a review of marine social science
Defra is undertaking a UK review of a review of current marine social science research activity and capacity, to look at the current research and potential future research that aid our understanding of the complex relationships between society and the sea and use research to contribute meaningfully to the development of effective marine and coastal policy and planning.
Key themes expected to include ocean literacy, blue growth, the values associated with the UK’s marine and coastal environment, and fisheries to name just a handful. This work will also highlight evidence gaps and assist in identifying future priorities for Defra, the wider UK government, the devolved administrations and the social science research community more broadly.
The questionnaire takes about 20 minutes to complete and can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MarSocSci_UK_Capacity
