Environmental contaminants in the Moray Firth cSAC - A summary of information of the impacts / potential impacts on bottlenose dolphins and proxy species.
This review is a reference document which serves as a potential first point of information. As a reference tool the document has some limitations, which could make interpretation of the presented data difficult for non-specialists. A contact list for expert advice is provided, thereby allowing project managers to obtain further advice and interpretation of the data presented as necessary. Please note that the contaminants identified in the report are not ordered in any priority by hazard or risk. It is expected that the document will be reviewed and updated as new information on environmental contaminants and on the potential impact on marine mammals comes to light. A risk assessment is also expected to be included in future versions of the document. Meanwhile, if you have any suggestions on how the report could be improved we would appreciate if you could pass those to the MFP.
