Moray Firth Fisheries Action Group (2004 - 2008)

The Partnership set up the Fisheries Action Group in 2004, initiating a ground-breaking partnership between fishermen, fishing organisations, scientific bodies and other interests to provide a constructive forum for debating integrated fishery management issues.

We carried out a feasibility study to inform the development of a collaborative stock assessment programme and to consider a number of cross-sectoral management actions, as a precursor to formation by the Scottish Government of a Moray Firth Inshore Fisheries Group during 2009.
