Community Networking Grant

Thanks to the additional funding from the BG Group, we are adding an extra element to the 2007 grants scheme to encourage and enable active networking and co-operation between coastal communities and between projects around the Moray Firth.

What this scheme will do

• Help pay for travel and other expenses within the Moray Firth area

• Include details of your group / project network / exchange proposals on our website and help to attract other participants.

• Offer coastal community groups assistance to network, share experiences and learn from best practice examples around the Moray Firth.

How much grant is available?

• For Groups travelling to another location, a maximum of £100 per group.

• For Groups travelling by car:- Car use will be paid at the public transport mileage rate of 25 pence per mile, based on agreed mileage, or the cost of public transport if less.

• To encourage car sharing, where 4 or more share one vehicle, rate increased to 30 pence per mile.

• For host groups, a flat rate of £25 to meet out of pocket expenses in copying papers, providing refreshments etc.
