Community Grants Scheme 2009

The Moray Firth Partnership 2009 Community Grant Scheme is now closed to applications.

Nine community groups and schools from around the Moray Firth have been awarded grants of £1,000 each for their coastal projects under this year's scheme.

The Grants scheme aims to help community groups and schools to undertake activities in their local area that benefit the coast and sea of the Moray Firth (from John O’ Groats in Caithness to Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire). This year projects were required to demonstrate a clear link to the natural heritage of the Firth. The schools and groups now have until January 31 2010 to complete their projects.

We are extremely grateful to Scottish Natural Heritage for their continued support of this grant scheme which will help bolster the work of the very dedicated community groups around the Moray Firth.

The nine successful projects to receive funding under this year's scheme are:

Wick Harbourfest Committee Children's Marine Cruises
Moray Firth Sea Trout Project River Spey Sea Trout Scale Project
