Highland Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers

Welcome to the colourful and textural world of the Highland Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. I hope you will find the information on the website useful as an introduction to the Guild. Our magazine is circulated to members approximately three times a year and is an excellent way to keep in touch with Guild activities and news from the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, with which we are affiliated.

Basket of dyed woolFull details of forthcoming workshops and booking forms are circulated in March, August and December and as workshop places are often limited you are encouraged to book early if you are interested in a particular discipline. Workshops generally run from 10am to 3.30/4.00pm with any variation noted on the booking forms and members are asked to bring their own packed lunches with tea/coffee being available at a small charge.

Most of our workshops are held in the Dingwall Community Centre which provides us with storage facilities for some of our equipment and library. Use of the lending library is free to members and hire of equipment, including a spinning wheel and a drum carder, is available for a nominal monthly fee plus deposit.
